Welcome to Girjás Adventure!

We offer you adventurous trips into the Sami* mountains in Lapland. You can choose fishing the arctic char in a mountain lake or accompany the Sami people to the places where they mark their reindeer calves in the summer, often during the night when the midnight sun is shining. During the journey you will meet different aspects of a living culture among the reindeer herding Sami people, depending on which time of the year you choose to visit us.

You can find us in a geographic area in the north of Sweden, called Girjás Sami district. Here you’ll find both low and high alpine mountains. We will gladly tell you about our life. Our objective is to spread knowledge and understanding about reindeer herding and the Sami culture.

The mountains hide old settlements, reindeer corals and holy places from olden times. But our culture still exists and we are pleased to be able to share it with others.
