We will visit one of the winter groups for a day and accompany one reindeer herder as he watches his herd.
We will visit the reindeer herders in
the winter grazing lands in the forest area between Kaitum in the west
and Satter in the east. During one day different chores must be done.
The herder must see to it that the reindeer are together and have enough
to eat. If the pasture is scarce some extra fodder might be needed. We
will take part in whatever work is being done. We’ll go by car and
continue by snow mobile and sled in the forest or go skiing. We’ll have
coffee and lunch outdoors weather permitting.
