We will accompany one or several
families as they sort their reindeer from the bigger herd, preparing to
move to the winter grazing lands. First all the reindeer of the village
are gathered to a corral. The sorting goes on for several days. Every
family has a smaller corral where they put their own reindeer as they
catch them. After the sorting the herds move to different winter grazing
lands.
Since reindeer herding always depends on the weather, the wind and the
nature, it is very difficult to know exactly on which day to plan for
this arrangement. The sorting of reindeer usually takes place during
week 49-51. You should have a flexible schedule.
