During three days we’ll go ice fishing in mountain lakes with arctic char, whitefish, grayling and trout. We travel comfortably by snow mobile. Hopefully we’ll get some fish that we can cook when we arrive to our cabin in the evening. After a nice dinner we’ll sleep well under our down quilts, until a new day breaks and we can go ice fishing again.
Day 1
We start from Nikkaluokta, which
is our starting-point. We’ll start going by snowmobile up to the
mountain to a mountain lake called Urttijávri. There we’ll have some
lunch and go ice fishing until it’s time to go to the Skártta
cottage, where we’ll have a nice dinner and take a bath in the sauna
afterwards.
Day 2
We’ll try our luck in two lakes called Gávguljávri och Skártajávri.
Day 3
On our last fishing day we’ll go to the lake Muovllekjávri. This
is also a nice place with slopes where we can have lunch and
sunbathe before we go back to Nikkaluokta for further transportation.
